The failing of the Dark

We have won. We have lost much and we must not be fooled into thinking that our suffering is over with just the changing of a numeral, but tonight the darkness is lifting. Our 8 year battle against the forces of ignorance, hate and fear has left our nation fractured and teetering on the brink of collapse, our constitution in tatters. But tomorrow dawns hope and with it I feel the swelling of pride once again in America and an eagerness to do the hard work ahead of us. Like farmers returning to the fields after a long winter we will find much to do and little sleep ahead, but despite the hardships the path ahead of us brings we will find strength in the effort with the knowledge that it is for good. Dawn is almost here.
